We did this as a family and walked from Ravello to Atrani then Amalfi. Just follow the white arrows painted on the pathway. A serious hike and you need to be in shape a bit but we recommend it.

The walk leads from Atrani to Amalfi and you must take care to stay alert for drivers. Amalfi is right around the corner and the church steeple is on the right.

Shame you have to take your eyes off the view so as not to trip on any of the (many) steps down. Well worth the effort thoug, as the walk winds down and through the pretty town of Atrani.

Like all walks up and down the coast, it helps if you're in shape and good knees are basically required. But it's worth the views and the town at the bottom is a worthy destination as long as you have another way back up. Atrani is small but lovely and you can swim easily. To return, I took a taxi,... Down into Atrani is more of a walk then a hike, very pleasant you are walking on the road at some point but not so much so we did not mind. Once in Atrani we decided to make our way to Amalfi. A much shorter walk.

We took the bus up to Ravello from Amalfi first thing in the morning and first enjoyed the town of Ravello before starting our hike back down to Amalfi. The hike back down was more work than we expected but the views and discoveries along the way made it worth it. Atrani is a gem, if we werent so tired... More

This was definitely a walk! Thought we were lost but finally made it down all the steps and to and through Atrani. Legs were tired but worth the work. Just stretch the calves afterwards.

The walk down from Ravello to Atrani is about an hour. Wear comfortable shoes has is it non-stop downhill, most of the time on steps or cobble-stone ways. We took a bus back up!

We walked from Ravello to Amalfi through Atrani. Lost the trail before we got to Atrani but got back on track. Stopped for coffee in Atrani. Walk to Amalfi from here was insane! (Not on road)
