We arrived at 13.30 pm after one hour drive to find it closed. Pity as it was one of our main reasons to visit Ragusa and my handicapped wife can't make long visits. Plan earlier or later in the day. Several handicap parking places within...More

The baroque exterior is visually stunning, and glows at night. It is interesting that it is set at a slight angle to the square. Note the beautiful fencing, too. The interior is a bit odd, with heavy red satin drapery and chandeliers - it reminded...More

On a hot afternoon, there isn't any better way to have a quick rest than to go & spend a bit of time in the Duomo to enjoy the cool, quiet atmosphere and to drink in the wonderful aesthetics.

The view of the Duomo in the setting sun from across the village is beautiful. We did not go in, but did enjoy the bells ringing in the evening, while sitting down on the square having an icecream.

The exterior is definitely better than the interior but its still worth a visit. Didn't open until 4pm like most churches in Ragusa and it was free to enter.

THE cathedral has a very interesting history and it lovely inside, it was rebuilt at an angle that provides an interesting perspective.

Large church with impressive eighteenth century exterior . We found the interior to be quite 'heavily' decorated.
