I wasn't prepared for how impressive this Villa/Crypt was. Newly opened in July 2018, I thought 15 euro entrance was high until I changed my mind at the end of the tour. It was worth it for me as it feels like a VIP Tour...More

This beautiful church will make you pause as you travel the narrow streets past the shops to the beach. It sits among cliff side shops and is quite grand.

Aside the stunning tiled dome, from the outside this church you get little impression of the treasures inside but take a little time out of your visit to have a look around the paintings, sculptures and especially the image of the Virgin Mary above the...More

Beautiful interior, cool and peaceful. A (British) wedding was about to take place - it seems the resorts on this coast are very popular with weddings for tourists.

Nice church in the crowded tourist town of Positano. Admired the beautiful dome from the outside only as it was Sunday and we could go inside.

This is a must see when you visit. Quite some building. When you go in take time to sit down first to fully take it all in. The setting will take your breath away.

The Church of St Maria Assunta in Positano was linked with the Benedictine monastery of St Maria. According to the legend the monastery was erected in honour of a Byzantine icon representing the Virgin Mary. The current look of the church dates back to 1783.

We went to the front door where we saw some entering in shorts and tank tops then we saw a couple leave and discard the blue shawls the church provides at the front door- except while we were just standing there deciding whether or not...More
