The beach is located 2/3 km north of Portoferraio; first warning: the road is one-way circular anti-clockwise. Right above the P beach for a fee (€8 per day at the beginning of the season) and a refreshment point with toilets and showers (€2). You then go down using a staircase (approximately 50 steps): there is a first small beach with the possibility of renting sunbeds and, beyond a small promontory, a second, much larger one with the possibility of renting (2 sunbeds + umbrella €30). The beach it is rather narrow, leaning against a high white cliff and made up almost entirely of white pebbles of various sizes. Crystal clear sea immediately quite deep: entry recommended with rock shoes. Last note: we are at the beginning of the season and the beach was already quite "busy": I imagine the situation will get much worse in July/August. We spent a pleasant day of sun, sea and relaxation in a very captivating natural context. Not recommended only for those who only love fine sandy beaches.

Beach easily accessible from the road: there is a large paid car park but also free parking along the road (10 min walk), if you arrive early. The beach is made of white pebbles and crystal clear turquoise water, I recommend bringing shoes to enter the water. There is the possibility of renting umbrellas and sunbeds (€35), there is a lifeguard and a bar/restaurant. Otherwise free beach. Recommended but very crowded in August.

The beach is beautiful and quiet, it is not very big and in summer there are usually many people, but acceptable. If you visit in the morning it gives shade, in the afternoon everything is sun. You can rent two lounge chairs and an umbrella for 30 euros all day or bring your own equipment. There is a lifeguard service, they are very attentive and offer basic remedies. The waves are gentle and you can swim without any problem. Be careful with the jellyfish, there are usually some. Parking costs 3 euros all day.

Unfortunately today the weather in this area is not favorable and no one can do anything about this. The beach and the sea must be a paradise.
Entry in bad weather but be patient, we ask the valet for a half-day ticket (5 euros); the rain is coming and above all we have a dog. There are no bans for dogs but maybe once down the 50 steps the dog will be able to enter?
However, the very kind parking attendant (there are three of them) tells us that the half day can only be paid in the afternoon... never mind, we pay 8 euros, dishonest but the sea and the beach will be worth much more. We park. We enter the bar terrace.... beautiful terrace, nice brioche bar at 10am already finished with offers of stuffed savory brioches at unreasonable prices!
We opt for two coffees, good coffees!
We pay a fair price but we have to ask for the receipt…..
Well I'd say it's not bad for a start to the season...
Long live honesty. However we saw Capo Bianco from above…. the parking attendants invite us to return in the afternoon…. and maybe even pay half a day?!?!
What a bad thing to take advantage of tourists!

Small, uncomfortable and expensive... not worth the money spent on parking and umbrella. Not suitable for children. If you love doing penance come without shoes and you will be absolved of every sin... a real suffering... dirty sea perhaps because of the proximity to the city... the free beaches are in real carnaio and those tried are expensive and busy... for 10 euros more you go to Cavoli or Biodola... all the.life

If you want to save money on parking, arriving from Portoferraio about 700 meters before there are free parking on the street (clearly you have to go early in the morning). Otherwise parking costs 12 euros even just x a few hours as x all day. The beach is beautiful but overcrowded despite being mid-September.

We went to this beach as a family (a stroller is not recommended due to the steps to reach the beach) with a 3 year old girl. The beach is both equipped (at a cost of €30) and a free beach. Very clean sea, you can even see the little fish on the shore. Rock shoes are absolutely recommended. There is a car park nearby which costs €8 all day, otherwise along the road further up you will perhaps find some free parking. At the top there is a restaurant/bar with a wow view of the beach from above. The beach wasn't super crowded but still manageable in terms of space, but it's June.

Beautiful beach, with crystal clear sea. Part in sand and part in pebbles. The beach itself has remained beautiful, but now with paid parking and bathing facilities stepping up, the beach has lost some of its wild charm. Then if you also put tourists to clutter the beach at the beginning without even leaving a minimum of passage free........

The beach and the sea are wonderful.
White stones make the water crystal clear at all hours of the day.
We arrived very early, thanks to the other reviews, and I must say it was a perfect choice. On the shore there was dried algae, fortunately there was no waste.
These days there is, in all the beaches, the presence of jellyfish, but despite this we could do several baths and swims.
We paid 12 euros for parking, which we think is a bit excessive, however the service was helpful and adequate. We only bought a bottle of water before going out after about 10 hours of sunshine and again it seems to us that 2euro for 0.5 of water is excessive.
The beach is really super recommended, the services instead quite expensive

It is definitely worth spending a day here, with shoes possibly because there are rocks. Emerald green, turquoise sea. The only small "flaw" is the beach with sunbed and umbrella rental for 35 euros (it fits) but at least they could clean the area from the algae. For the rest nothing to say. I advise you to come early because there are a lot of people both on the free beach and on the other one. We parked not in the private paid one, but before (500 m before) along the sea there are some white car parks. The road to get to the beach is feasible, apart from the slightly steep ones, starting from the only bar above the beach.
