A nice cathedral
Feb 2018 • Friends
Though badly lit we could still see most of the Romanesque structure and columns. It had some later additions, such as the baroque presbytery and altars, and some older parts with medieval frescoes still remaining. the main things inside were a silver altarpiece dedicated to St James and a 13th century crucifix.

A splendid church
Sep 2018 • Couples
The cathedral is located at the Piazza del Duomo and is dedicated to Saint Zeno of Verona. It is a very ancient building, probably from the 10th century with a facade in the Romanesque style, very typical for the city. The church has a single nave with two side-aisles and its interior is spectacular, especially the 13th century silver altar of Saint James.

A stunning church with a spectacular silver altar
Aug 2018 • Family
From the della Robbia ceramic over the entrance, to the main altar, to the spectacular side altar -- all in silver -- depicting the life of St. James, this is a church not to be missed.

Beauthiful church
Sep 2017 • Family
no photos allowed inside. This Cathedral was most likely built in the 10th century, it has a façade in Romanesque style, inspired by other churches in Pistoia , San Bartolomeo and San Jacopo. The interior has a nave and two side-aisles, with a presbytery and crypt. A restoration in 1952-1999 returned the church to its original lines.

Buy the Fifteen Euro Ticket!
Nov 2017 • Couples
As per the title, buying the 15 euro ticket is well worth it as it gives you access to all areas of the Cathedral and then, your actual visit can last a whole day. We did as per the recommendation and we then visited everything the Cathedral had to offer.
Entrance to the actual Cathedral itself is free so check it out, if this is all you want to see.
Now to the 15 euro ticket. This gives you access to several areas.
The Baptistry we regarded as ok and this only takes minutes to complete. But then, the ticket gives you access to climb the Dome itself, which was fantastic (if not tiring), the Bell Tower, which was amazing (and also tiring). and the Museum, which is a real gem with some stunning exhibits.
At the end of the day you will be totally spent but you will have some amazing pictures and memories.
Oh, and if you want to break up your visit, the ticket actually lats for 48 hours.
