Interesting Visit and Beautiful View
Jun 2021 • Couples
The Castel itself has a great location on the edge of the sweet little town of Peschici. After viewing an interesting and wide collection of torture instruments used in the past inside this well preserved building you can enjoy some more "cheerful" times on the beautiful balcony platform that opens up to a beautiful panoramic view!

Does torture give you a kick?
Sep 2019 • Couples
We had not expected a torture museum, and this is not our cup of tea. Strange that children would be offered a discount, because I really don't think this castle is suitable for them. There is a nice panoramic view of the sea from the terrace at the back, but there are many more of these in Peschici.

Torture instruments a trite macabre. Prefer fine furnishings
May 2019
Rooms full of medieval and Renaissance torture devices. I found in town a woodcarver that made bowls and other objects carved from a variety of woods, more interesting. Came to photograph the views from the platform.

Peschici castle
Sep 2018 • Couples
The castle was very interesting highlighting the various methods of torture in days gone by. Would not recommend this to people with young children as the articles are pretty gruesome. Very reasonably priced. Back packs had to be left at the entrance.

Castle with Torture exhibit
Aug 2018 • Couples
It might be a castle, the take away is the torture exhibition which is very impressive and make you realize we treated people very bad in the old days, i was very impressed by all the elements they showed. It is definitely an interesting stop with a view point to the see on an outside platform.
The attributes in the exhibition have Italian and English explanation boards.

Great Views
Sep 2016 • Couples
There is a small viewing platform and short path that give great views across the beach and over the nearby hills.
The castle contains an interesting collection of methods of torture from ancient times.
Entry price is minimal, making this a worthwhile place to spend an hour.

The castle is used to exhibit various methods of torture over the centuries and is rather gruesome in places.

An interesting, if gruesome, collection
Jun 2016 • Couples
The castle houses a museum of instruments of torture and punishment and the collection is both comprehensive and helpfully explained, with some of the signs in English. There is also a small viewing platform over the sea and the location is quite spectacular. Centrally located with a very reasonable entrance fee.

Take a look
Aug 2014
Very cool castle. There was an exhibit of torture devises at the time we were there which was very disturbing, yet interesting. Very nice views from the castle as well. Worth the walk up from the beach.

Torture chamber & awesome views
Sep 2014 • Couples
Yes, I am a bit weird as I love torture chambers :) That's pretty much the only thing the castle contains...all those nasty and interesting torture devices. And something else...go in the gardens and now look towards the sea and the beach. Breathtaking, right?
