Beautiful Find!
Oct 2019
Had lunch here two of our three days in Orvieto. Family run business run right. Attentive staff and fine wine list. Food was fantastic and the Pecorino Creamed app was the best new taste of the trip to Italy 2019 for me. Would love to know how to make this unique appetizer. Hope to find this wonderful wine bar when we return in autumn 2020.

Beautiful Wine
Aug 2019 • Family
My husband and I typically avoid the tourist path like the plague but this one to not miss if you’re in the amazing Orvieto. It is located right across from the Duomo. We stopped with our three kids, teen and under teens. Lovely staff, great recommendations for the wine and food. Food was a delight and only topped by a simply beautiful white wine from the region. The kids are from a selection of cheeses, pasta and sides, all great. I had a caprese which was fresh and just right for a blistering day. Go!!!

Excellent dinner
Dec 2018 • Couples
We stopped here on a cold December night. They were welcoming and there was a fire blazing in the fireplace. We had some great appetizers followed by an equally superb dinner. The three bruschetti were olive oil, tomatoes, and truffles. This was followed by chestnut strezzopretti with porcini and sausage and a wonderful side of roasted or fried chickpeas. Away from the big tourist towns you can get the best food!!

Lovely long lunch!
Sep 2015 • Couples
Stopped for lunch after seeing 3 museums and before heading to the Duomo. Was so crowded outside we went in and had wine while we waited for the staff to catch up. Owner (I believe) gave us a complimentary appetizer and espresso later for the wait. Wine and food was excellent! Spaghetti carbonara the best yet! Lovely time!

Fantastic spot with a great location
Oct 2014 • Couples
My husband and I loved this place so much that we came here twice in one day during our honeymoon back in October.

It was truffle season so we opted for a full-on truffle lunch: bruschetta assortment including truffle bruschetta, tagliolini with fresh truffles, and then a prosciutto and truffle sandwich on fresh ciabatta. None of it disappointed - it was seriously one of my favorite meals I've ever had. And, considering every dish had truffles in it, reasonably priced. We paired our lunch with the Orvieto wine tasting and did not regret it.

After bidding the friendly waitstaff adieu, full of truffly goodness, we wandered the streets and worked up an appetite and thirst and found ourselves back here for a bottle of Lambrusco and some snacks at sunset. Emiliano (I think that was his name) was kind enough to bring us a plate of parmigiano reggiano drizzled with a sweet balsamic to go along with our bottle, without us ordering anything to go along with the wine. It was an appreciated gesture!

The wine shop inside is full of great, harder to find bottles of local and also European wines and Emiliano even called our taxi for us when we were leaving, as we didn't have a working phone with us and we hadn't the slightest plan for how to get back to our hotel :)

With a beautiful view of the duomo, this is a great place to relax and take in the façade of the architectural masterpiece while enjoying some great wines and delicious, fresh food. We will definitely be back!

A place to get to know Orvito's wine
Orvito is about white wines - the famous Orvito Classico. That is the place to get to know it with a wine tasting accompanied by a cheese or cured meat plate. The servers and owner are knowledgeable and the atmosphere is great

sat there on a very Sunny August afternoon, enjoying a very nice Orvieto Classico and Prosecco, looking at the changing colours of the Duomo. the waitress was most friendly and helpful, and took the time to give us a very clear Italian prononciation course in distinct Italian and English. classy lady!

Nice place for lunch
May 2013 • Couples
This place is a eatery, not an attraction. We had lunch here in late May, 2013. The weather was a bit cool but we sat outside anyway. We took advantage of a wine tasting special (3 wines for €10). I enjoyed the Orvieto Classico so much that I passed on the “local sweet wine” for another glass. The service was friendly and casual. We met a number of locals who frequent this little eatery. We had an assortment of small offerings (olives, cheeses, salami, tomatoes, etc) along with excellent bread. By all means, try this place.

Beautiful art

A cool and quiet place that shows some of the most beautiful religious art around; make sure to spend some time there.
