Bodeato chocolate factory
May 2019
We learned about this chocolate factory at Villa Sparina resort and their staff arranged a visit for us. Private tour for two of us for €15 a person. The staff is very nice, we were greeted by a nice lady (shame on me I do not remember the name) in the shop. Roberto showed us the production process , he was very passionate about his job. Then we went for a chocolate tasting with the nice lady in the store. We tasted about 7-8 different chocolate types, truffles and paste. She was very good about explaining different flavors and ways how things are made. Nice surprise at the end was a little gift bag. :-)
Definitely worth of time and money.

Visit to the Bodrato store and factory
Jul 2018 • Family
Genuinly nice and helpful staff. We got greeted by a very nice woman in the store that let us taste a good selection of their tasty chocolate. A man in the factory told us a lot about chocolate production and answered our questions. We bought a big bag of chocolate and we really enjoy it. The visit exceeded our expectations, I highly recommend a visit.

This is a great store with high quality chocholate to good prices!

The staff really love their jobs are very helpful and let you try different pieces to find you favourite.

We also got to see the production thru the large windows, the factory is right by the store.

Do not miss it if you are in the area.

We stopped here at the factory and chocolate shop as part of a bike tour of the Piedmont. A little break from wine tasting (ha). We had an intimate tour of the factory, and a description of where the best cocoa beans are from, the process for roasting as well as the preparation of the hazelnuts. The factory is small, personal, and immaculate.
The store sells an amazing variety of chocolates and is of course a great place to purchase wonderful quality chocolates that are truly unique to Italy. Some of the chocolate bars have large pieces of fruit displayed in them -- strawberries, cherries -- they make beautiful gifts. This is also the place to purchase their chocolate sauce and their version of Nutella, which is of course much, much better than the what you get in the supermarket. The Piedmont is the natural home of Nutella as the countryside is filled with hazelnut trees. Definitely leave plenty of room in your suitcase as you will inevitably wish you had brought more chocolate home with you.
