A church right on top of the hill in the square. The square itself is interesting, and save the awnings of a couple of shops, has the feel of time-standing still - the well still stands as does the unfinished frontage of the church opposite...More

We visited Montepulciano in August on a hot and busy day so it was great to have been able to discover this small church and enjoy a moment of serenity.

From the outside the church appeared very simple, but once inside we found a quite beautiful church. A surprising treat

Just happened to stop in on our way back to the car from lunch. What a surprise! Beautiful Madonna and gorgeous altar. This should be a destination of its own!
