A must stop on your ceramics shopping list while in Montepulciano
Oct 2015 • Friends
Roberta Rocchi is a gifted ceramic artist. Our group thought her choice of subtle pallet colors elevates her products from the competitors found in Montepulciano. She customized on a platter, a landscape design for someone in our group – a truly unique trip treasure remembrance. Several in our group purchased items from her shop. One item chosen was a birthday gift for which she gave us one of her watercolor paintings that we turned into our group birthday card for the honoree. You will find affordable pieces available in the shop at various stages of design completion. The selection may be an advantage should you find a piece whose design is not completed and Roberta consider customizing to specifications. Roberta speaks very good English, a delightful person to work with. I encourage you to seek out her shop.

Incredible Authentic Ceramics
Jun 2014 • Couples
We were recommended by a local to visit this shop for the ceramics. It's run by a father and daughter and when we visited, Roberta was hand painting ceramics in the shop. The father Gianfranco is well known because he has managed to recreate the bucchero technique for making black ceramics which are so beautiful (we had to buy one!).

We couldn't believe how different the ceramics are compared to the ones often sold in shops, which are actually just often made with transfers and templates. The pricing is excellent and we came home with quite a few special pieces. It was our favourite shop during our trip in the Siena region.
