Visit the lovely wine cellars deep inside the fortified city, and then have a taste: you can try and then buy. I found the Talosa wine excellent - especially the Vino Nobile. Bought quite a few in the end.

This is a place you should visit when in Montepulciano. You can easily miss the entrance if you are not aware of the presence of the cellar underneath the building. The wine shop offers a great choice in Tuscan wines and grappa.

This place has great tour, great people, great wine, great education, good toilets. The price was fair considering they also provided 5 small glasses of wine, water cheese, meat and a good education at each step. The toilets were close by and in good condition.

A great afternoon well spent on Montepulciano. There, not only did we learn a lot about wines but also about history, culture, life. Andrea gave us a peace of mind we rarely get in our rushed lives.
