Our first stop on our wine tour was Azienda Agricola Ercolani - Citta Sotterranea. We were a large group (14) so we were offered our own tour of this incredibly interesting wine cellar. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the cellars as...More

After reading the reviews we were excited for a tour type learning situation but actually it was more like a walk around and view for us. I think it depends on the time of day and season. Everyone we spoke to was lovely, but I...More

We went here because the agriturismo where we were staying recommended it. Otherwise we might easily have walked past assuming it was a typical, probably slightly kitch / tacky, tourist trap. Actually it's nothing of the sort. We were accosted as we approached and told...More

In Montepulciano,i find this wonderfull place, producer of wine and pecorino, which offers you the entrance to a mini underground town filled with wine barrels and old cheese in ashes. I left with pleasant memories in there and some bottles of wine
