There were not may people inside. perhaps because if you come here on foot you then have a very steep climb up the hill to Montepulciano. The entrance, which I think was 3.5 euros, includes an audio guide, which certainly enhances the visit and helps...More

Located just down the hill from the fortress of Montepulciano, the San Biagio is a beautiful church and great example of Italian Renaissance Architecture. We respected the wedding taking place when we visited, and quietly looked in long enough to appreciate it's beauty.

This church outside of Montepulciano is a example of Greek Renaissance design. It's outside walls are crafted from travertine and it has an impressive dome. Not much to see unless you are a student of architecture, but it is beautiful and worth a few pictures.

There's a lot see in Montepulciano but you shouldn't miss seeing this place which is so full of history. If you can't get in side you can still marvel at the architecture outdoors.

This is a beautiful temple outside of the city, yet a pearl of the town. Video-guide underlines the experience of this place.

Relaxing site to have a light lunch with wine at the store right across from the church. No crowds to deal with at this location
