My kids, both age 9 and age 16 had an excellent time in this park. The park employees were attentive and professional, and the course was well maintained, and inspired confidence.

This was our first time of walking in the Dolomites and we just loved being up amongst it all. On day 1 we took the cable car (there's a Rifugio at the top) and walked path 340 which takes you to Rifugio Croz dell'Altissimo. An absolutely stunning walk with views crying out to be photographed every step of the way. Lots of people of all ages walking, with children and dogs, so it's a reasonably easy walk. Once you reach the Rifugio you can either walk down through the valley back to Molveno, or walk back the same way and return by cable car as we did (either way about three hours, including many stops).
On day 2 we took the cable car and then the chair lift up to the next level, Montanara (yet another Rifugio up here), walked down a track that joined 340, then walked past Rifugio Croz dell'Altissimo and up to Rifugio Selvata. From there we took a long (and at one point slightly scary) trail (332) back down to Molveno (all this took about five and a half hours, but we stopped at two rifugios for refuelling). You can eat and drink at the different rifugios which are dotted around this area quite closely.
There are of course many more challenging and less frequented walks around Molveno (there's a great map you can get for €2 from the information centre). And if you don't have a lot of time or aren't really a walker you can take the cable car and maybe also the chairlift up just for a look and/or a meal or a coffee.

Excellent walks

Great walks of varying difficulty run through this park. Take the hassle out of climbing by taking the ski lift up and start your walk on altitude.
