So a rich aristocrat from yesteryears bought a beautiful piece of land and made it into a private villa and built a beautiful garden. This is now a conference venue and not really for tourists in menaggio to just stroll into. TripAdvisor has this venue...More

We visited this rather beautiful villa but were only taken to 3 rooms and were allowed to have 20 minutes in the garden. We felt a little persona non grata. I do understand that it is a conference venue but it would have been lovely...More

We went there for a concert one evening and almost didn't go in preferring the view over the lake. Get in there any chance you can.

The tourist office pointed out a chamber music concert so we found the Villa (with some difficulty) and were so glad we did - a very memorable sunny evening in lovely surroundings

This is a conference hotel, so you really cannot book it, so it is recommended as an attraction. The view and the gardens feature some of the best views in the whole Como area.

The villa opens only on Thursday afternoons at 2:30pm for a guided tour lasting about 1hr. Having assembled at the gate and paid our entry fee (10 Euro) we first had a tour around the villa. It was built in neo-classical style around 1830 for...More
