Review of: Try Scuba Diving
For our first ever diving experience, we we're guided by Roberto. A very professional approach, with clear explanations in English. We felt very safe at all time and enjoyed the beautiful marine life of Elba. A must do when in Procchio.

We were looking for a diving experience in Elba, maybe a bit late, but were happy to find a spot here. However, very distant service. Superficial instruction. Very minimal. It was the first time for my boyfriend, and I was very supprised the instruction was that shallow. I felt they did not care much about us, actually... this was not my first dive - that is why I know most of the dives are much better. More to ser pluss couples stay together under water.

Hello we are sorry you didn't love the place for diving, we must chose a quite and shallow place to let someone dive for the first time, this is for his safety and to respect rules and standard by the law. Sometimes these places are not incredible reach of life especially because we are in the Mediterranean Sea, we have a shallow coral reef barrier. The instruction fo do the introductory scuba are minimal because we can not provide many information to someone without any experience and we prefer to guide the person one by one with our instructor to manage the equipment... always for his safety. To can dive together with your boyfriend he must follow a course and be certified too. Regards

The dive guides are pleasant & the gear is good. They checked my husband's qualifications & he clearly stated he wanted a simple dive to check out a new camera housing. He headed to the RIB with an instructor, driver & one other diver. No brief, no info on where they were going or what they were doing. Picked up a bunch of other divers at their other centre+ headed to Enfola. At the site, he was informed he was doing a wall dive 20-40m. He pointed out that the wall would be in shadow & he wanted a shallow dive & requested to follow one of the 2 training groups. A number of objections were put forward: 1.. oh but it's very shallow, only 12m (no prob, better light) 2. Oh but I don't know you (neither does the other instructor, and so?) 3. I won't be able to guide or assist you (no prob, he'll stay close & within sight but not interfere with your group) So he got to dive. He kitted up & was told to wait in the water. No brief. No buddy check. No emergency plan. Ah Italy. He hopped in, normal checks, played with the camera controls & waited for them to enter. Scenery: they have lovely pictures on the website. However, the bottom is largely green algal slime on rocky boulders, with the same fish you see snorkelling. The rocky landscape is nice, but the Viz wasn't the best. This was very much a solo dive I'm afraid. As a diver, the underwater visibility in the Tuscan archipelago is normally excellent. But the marine life is limited, you simply don't see much extra diving. Be vocal & clear about what kind of diving you want. Expect overpromising & underdelivering from the dive centre. Once it's clear they can't sell you a course or the super-inflated price for a 2tank dive to Pianosa, expect to be forgotten about. Don't expect a buddy check. My advice, spend the time snorkelling on Elba & Pianosa. Try 1 dive if you'd like to blow bubbles.

We were a group of four friends with different levels but Fabio and Frederico did manage and we all had a great time diving in safety. No doubt we will dive again with Diving in Elba if we come back.
