We passed here as part of a walk on Lipari and were given an enthusiastic, guided tour in English completely free of charge. We were shown the thermal baths and were able to feel the hot water from the spring. There are quite a few...More

I appreciate that they are a donation based organization and restoring the history and story of this area. If you are in the area go, but otherwise can skip. Not enough intersting stuff

We visited this museum while hiking the path between Caolino and Pianoconte on a really hot day and it was pleasant to pause in the cool 18th century building at this excellent museum. The excavations of ancient thermal bathes predating the Romans are surprisingly complete...More

Had a lovely guided tour of the hot water spring, the domed building unearthed is apparently the oldest building in the med, passed an hour on but only visitable if you hire a car or scooter

Island of Lipari is small, with beautiful passionate people. The Greek baths of San Calogero are being restored by volunteers, and there is a small art gallery. Baths are around 3000 years old, and fascinating. Admission is free, but remember to donate a few Euros....More

A very good guide took us around and showed us one of the only remaining saunas from Roman times. The pools are still 70c. Worth a detour.
