Superb, comprehensive museum set in several buildings within the walled hilltop citadel of Lipari. Above all else the incomparable collection of greek masks is without parallel anywhere in the world. The collections are expertly displayed and you will be fascinated. Just go!

I walked up the sloped streets from the harbor of Lipari to the archaeological park mainly for the view, but I was rewarded with some fine archaeological information of this island as well as the entire collection of the seven Eolie islands.

This museum contains the most beautiful collection of ancient greek theater masks in the world, plus a particular collection of vases with images of Dionysus. All masterpieces. A must for all people interested in archeology.

A wonderful surprise on this beautiful Sicilian island, this museum exhibits an extraordinary rich and varied collection of artefacts from the long and very rich history of the Aeolian islands, including their complex geology and vulcanology. A must-see
