Lots of great equipment, model railways and real rolling stock to see. The kids really liked being able to walk through many of the train cars and get behind the controls of the steam engine. Lots of parking in the gravel lot directly across from...More

Something different to see. Run by volunteers with some model railways, old poster memorabilia and lots of rollling stock. Very interesting to see what train travel might have been like 60 to 80 years ago.

With an unexpected extra day in Lecce, I went looking for something unusual to enjoy. The Museo Ferroviario della Puglia certainly qualifies. Tucked behind the train station (you'll have to walk around behind the station, which involves an underpass and then a walk alongside a...More

Worth going if you have children that like old fashion trains. The best thing of the museum are the people that work inside very nice.Knowing the Italian it was very investing to hear the guide explaining every thing, but not sure they have english tours.

We are not train buffs , but as we were in Lecce for a long time we thought "why not?". First things: it is typically Italian in that it isn't open all the time , so mornings and late afternoons (check) - secondly even though...More

English booklet available. Easy to navigate and a fascinating way to spend a couple of hours. Would be better if you could access it through Lecce station but nevertheless it was well signed. Staff helpful and polite. Inexpensive but worth the detour

It is quite tricky to find this museum. I mistakenly thought it was connected to the station. In fact you bear left, if facing the station, go under an underpass and then turn right though a housing estate and past a pizzeria. In the latter...More
