A good intoduction to the areas ancient history. Great collection of Greek ceramics,if that’s your thing.Worked for us. Don’t miss the medieval/gothic paintings. Only issue was a shortage of English captions

I visited at 6p.m and found myself the only visitor. A lot to appreciate, and as a non Italian speaker would have found more English explanations helpful But a well worthwhile visit - with no charge!

Yes there are some good exhibits of pottery and some with translation of the colonization of the salento. But what overshadows it all is how poorly maintained these museums are. Like many civic projects they are built and forgotten

Mixed feelings about this museum. The layout is good but the lack of English translations is really frustrating. The museum is free but I would have willingly paid an entrance fee if I was provided with an English audio guide or even a written translation,...More

On three floors all accessible, the displays are well laid out with information in English. Some good reconstructions that make understanding the artifacts easier

This was a nice museum, small but with a considerable collection of funeral pottery and some artifacts of interest. Everything is written in Italian so best to expect that in advance. Two very friendly attendants. We gave this museum a thumbs up because it was...More

While spending a vacation in Lecce, we decided to visit this museum one day. It is just outside the old city walls by the police station. It is open on Sunday, and manned by two helpful attendants, who insisted we talk the elevator rather than...More

This museum has an amazing amount of Greek and Roman pottery. Unfortunately it is not too well signed but we knew what things were. It is well worth a look
