It is a beautiful building.. sparse of course .. it IS a medeaval castle after all, but it has been well restored and of course the beautiful pale sandstone makes for a lovely soft ambiance... not like our sombre English monsters. I nearly didn't go...More

Do not be fooled by this place. We paid 10 Euros a piece and only saw some art. Do not go here. Nothing us explained and nothing to see. Very disappointed!

My husband and I visited the castle today. I use the word visited loosely as whilst it is an impressive structure to look at externally with a €7 entrance fee per person it is a complete rip off. The only part of the castle you...More

It is an impressive stone castle from outside but you can find better things to do than pay to visit the inside which is just a bare old caste witha few exhibits without a whole lot purpose. Walk around the perimeter as it is farmore...More

I had planned to see the Castle, but was pleasantly surprised to find an Andy Warhol exhibition, along with other art exhibitions inside. The castle has been restored beautifully, but in and of itself isn't spectacular, but a bit plain. However, the quality of art...More

We went to the castle because there are only so many Baroque churches you can go round before you crave a bit of simplicity in architecture. The castle is that but it was the exhibits we were impressed with. There were three large exhibitions one...More

There was so little to see we were thoroughly disappointed. What is worth while is the Tourist Information will sell you a guide for euro 1.50 which has all the landmarks and information about them all. It makes it the perfect way to walk around...More

We popped into the Castello Carlo V almost by accident, trying to avoid the rain that was piling down in Lecce on a gloomy September (2016) afternoon. The building itself is extremely well-maintained, but what really drew my wife and I in was the Andy...More

A little bare and light on for things to see. Large, virtually empty building and not cheap. There was an art exhibition inside which was additional to the ticket price and included without our knowledge. Didn't plan to see it.
