Special opening on Friday 27th and Saturday, January 28 from 02.30 PM to 05.30 PM. Acquired by the Province of Imperia in 2002, the villa has been open for the first time to the public on January 17, 2010. The complete recovery of the noble plans, in full respect of their original features, it again revealed the splendor and sophisticated opulence. Called "stone" Circus for the many references to the circus world that can be identified in many architectural details (lamps, columns, decorations, balustrades, uneven, frescoes ...), influenced by Art Nouveau, but undeniably also plagued by the taste of artists contemporary Grock. The complete recovery of the garden, both from the point of view of the flora and for the consolidation of facilities, allows today to rediscover the atmosphere designed by the same Adrien Wettach, of which tells a great passion for plants. The well-defined walkways invite to walks, while all around the columns melted, the bold arches, absolutely unique decorations, fountains and a pond with its bridge of oriental inspiration, they are the completion of a striking setting and fabulous. The palatial mansion and original greatest clowns of "Grock" history, reborn thanks to a cultural project, based on new technologies .. In Villa restored, was set up a path, immersive and magical dedicated to professionals of the circus and, in particular , the art of the clown. The Villa is also open during the weekdays by reservation only for groups with a minimum of 10 participants.

Villa Grock is set in a beautiful secluded little spot on the hills behind Oneglia, with a wonderful view across the bay. The house itself is fascinating; as eccentric and interesting as Adrien Wettach’s history and life there. Now recently restored, it spent several years in a state of disrepair and unfortunately many of the original fittings were stolen. Thankfully... More

we have tried to visit villa Grock as we have read quite a few articles about it, but our visit was unsuccessful, as it was closed and completely abandoned. It looked so destroyed. And the roads are so tine that it is impossible to drive there (also locals are driving very fast), so better leave your car and walk to... More

This full restored, whimsical villa has been opened as a state of the art museum dedicated to the Art of the Clown. A perfect, kid friendly, interactive museum. A must!

Grock was a famous swiss clown and musician in the 20's and 30's. He also was an inventor and designed his own villa. The style reflects his Friends Gaudi, Picasso and Dali. The views are spectacular and the villa now houses a clown museum. The grounds are very pleasant and the staff were spectacular in their knowledge and welcome!

I had high hopes when I returned to Villa Grock a second time after reading that it made the list of the ten most beautiful gardens in Italy. No way. The garden has potential and a beautiful layout, but it is not in good condition and gives a feeling of neglect. It is embedded in a residential district and it... More

We got to see the place from outside as it was closed. Follow the signs for Villa Grock and the winding road and you will see it.

The wedding I attended was held in Villa Grock, what a place to hold a wedding the gounds seemed to be specially designed for such an event. The ceramoney and reception were all held outdoors which added to the atmosphere and even a brief thunderstorm could not take away from a magical night.
