well worth a visit
Sep 2019
The autodromo is the actual race track, but it is also home to the museum for Ayrton Senna. Both the race track and the museum are well wordt a visit. Next to the race track there is the park Aqua Minerale, which is aldo good. The weekend of our visit there was a special event on called "urban festival", which had food trucks, arts and music to offer. The race track was open to cyclists and pedestrians.

A great experience for fans and non-fans alike!
Sep 2019
My wife and I took the tour of the race track. I'm an F1 fan, while my wife is more of a casual observer. We both enjoyed the tour immensely.

The tour guide, Elisa, was excellent. Knowledgable and friendly, she gave us plenty of time to explore the interesting parts of the track as well as explaining everything very well. The tour was supposed to last 90 minutes, but ended up lasting nearly 2 hours. We would have happily stayed even longer!

The tour involves two laps of the track, stopping at the points of interest such as the Tamburello corner, the monuments to Senna and Villeneuve, and the smaller commemoration area for Roland Ratzenberger. We also got to see inside the control room, walked up to the podium, and finished off at the top of the observation tower.

If you have the opportunity, try and book a tour when there's an event on. There were some race cars doing laps when we arrived. Since we were early, we went to the on-site cafe and, once the cars had finished, all the drivers and support crew came in for their lunch. During the pause in the racing, we had our laps of the track and, by the time we got to the observation tower, the cars were racing again so we got to watch them from the excellent viewing spot.

Lot of history , copy of the cars. Souvenir and tour guide, nice park around it. We walk around, kind of river and a lot of trees.

Fantastic experience!
Aug 2019 • Family
What a fantastic experience! I have to say that I'm not an F1 fan but this was so enjoyable. I would even go so far as to say that it was the best day of our holiday!

You get taken around the famous track and get the opportunity to stop off at key parts, such as the infamous Tamburello corner and the Senna memorial. It was very poignant.

It was great to see and understand the workings of a still used racing facility and it was great to go behind the scenes. You get to see the control room, stand in pole position and even get to stand on the podium!

I have to take this opportunity to single out and thank our completely fantastic guide, Agnese. It certainly would not have been the amazing experience it was for us without her. She was very informative, friendly, helpful and patient. Not at any point did we feel rushed by her and although she must have done this tour a million times before, it was as if it was her first. Her enthusiasm was infectious! Agnese is a total credit to Imola. Thank you so much Agnese for a fantastic day!

Do not hesitate to go for this experience. Like me, you do not have to be an F1 fan. You will love it!

It's simply the best!!!
Jul 2019
The tour is great and very informative. You do a lap on the track when they explain and show you everything. After that you have another lap stopping in different places such as start liine, Tamburello and Senna Park; where you can take photos. Moreover, you go to the podium and race control room. It's a fantastic experience if you like motoracing. However, I left the best for last!
The best of it all was the staff! From the "girl" who took us round the track to the ladies from IFImolaFaenza! They are amaizing! I'll never forget their kindness, friendliness and helpfulness! In particular, Moni - you'll be forever in my heart as a very sweet lady!

Imola trip
May 2019 • Couples
Went to Imola to go to an open day but it had been moved to the day before we were due to fly out for our stay so it was a little disappointing. However as we were staying at the Hotel Rivazza the view was awesome. The Ayrton Senna exhibition was very moving and the statue in the Aqua Minerale Park was such a wonderful thing to experience.

Bellissimo
May 2019 • Friends
As tracks go, this is right up there.
Excellent viewing spots with moving tributes to Senna and Villeneuve.
The museum inside the paddock is also worth visiting.
Decent trackside facilities and restaurants too.

F1 circuit up to 2006. Senna and Gilles tributes
Nov 2018 • Friends
Imola will always be associated with the death of Ayrton Senna in 1994. Gilles Villeneuve crashed heavily in 1980. Both are commemorated in memorials freely accessible from the park / inside the circuit.

I suggest visit the circuit mini-museum / shop first. They will give you a free map showing the locations / routes to those memorials; also the route to see the sweeping Aqua Minerale corner (see my photos).

The main circuit museum was closed for refurbishment in November 2018. Suggest check the website to see i) when it will reopen and ii) when the circuits is open to walk the track (apparently several times each you).

If in the area, do go!

Simply wonderful
Sep 2018 • Couples
We did the minivan tour together with another couple. Our guide was a wonderful woman who really showed us a good time. Nothing was rushed and we got to see both the actual track, the pits and the Senna memorial. I would encourage anyone to take this tour, regardless if you have an interest in motorsports or not.

My First Grand Prix
Sep 2017 • Friends
I visited IMOLA Gran Premio San Marino either on the 23-24-25th of April in 2004, I was 15 or 16 working on the Motor yacht Paloma as it went through a major renovation, I got on with the Mechanic on board and he invited me (and paid for!) to go on a road trip to the Grand Prix.

They were all older than me (Mid Twenty's) and it was pretty awesome, on the way there we smoke and drank and to give you an indication of the time we were listening to The Darkness on CD. Of the actual Grand Prix the sound of the cars was something else, incredibly loud, you couldn't really watch the race as the cars were that fast they just whooshed past, a cool experience though and definitely worth going to one if you ever get the chance.

After the race we went to a restaurant where I believe I had a pizza but on the way you couldn't help but notice the multitude of helicopter's all zooming off in opposing directions, I was later told it was all the Drivers being taken... wherever.
