The entry fee for this site was 4 Euros and it was sunny and hot when we visited. What you find at this site are the castle ruins of a 12th century Norman fortress built over the ancient Temple set at the very top of...More

I thought the signs in Italian and English were nicely done. History of the place is so far reaching, it is difficult to comprehend. Views from the top are spectacular.

What van I say. From the outside the setting is downright amazing. Even where you enter the "feel" is right. But when you enter it is like an open field with some stones. There islittle story and visual. Should you therefore skipp it? The views...More

We loved the view and the castle itself. However, although the 4 euro fee isn't that high, you honestly won't necessarily miss a thing. Up to you!

It is a nice place. A castle, but more than that it is the views that you have from there. To walk around and admire the surroundings.

Erice is a fortification 750 metres above Trapani. Do not waste your time in Trapani, drive straight to the very modern cable car and go up to Erice. It is a quaint place full of churches and old castles, but the best are the absolute...More

I would say about 15 minutes to walk up and down the hill plus he time of the visit (we spent about 15 minutes walking around the ruins). So about 30 minutes in total.
