I Delfini Beach Village
The Delfini Beach Village represent the exact frame of what can be expected from a holiday of fun and relax. Integrated in an exceptional environment such as Cattolica, called the Queen of the Adriatic, a small but charming tourist town on the Adriatic coast where clear waters, smooth sand and winds from the south-west caress your skin at any time of the day, the Delfini Beach Village will offer you a thousand entertainment possibilities. Conceived as a real holiday village, I Delfini Beach Village is at the top as a reception, entertainment, play areas for children, wifi, swimming pools, nursery, beach volley, beach tennis and soccer court, table tennis, wellness service, events and much more. Romagnola hospitality completes the picture by adding friendliness and good taste in the treatment of customers.

We went to Catolica since we heard it’s nicer and more “exclusive” than Rimini. The touristic part of the city might be compqrable, but i’s not the case for the seaside.

Let me detail a bit on the exclusivity part: we’ve been looking for a parking spot for almost half an hour and we settled at 300 meters from the beach for 8 EUR. Then we took an umbrella and two seats at 26 EUR in the second row from the beach. Now I don’t mind the money necessarily, but when we realized what we payed for we seriosly considered leaving: there is exctly one palm betweed adjacent umbrellas. This is not an issue itself, but it becomes one when you need to sqeeze through that space to get to the beach. Or when you have a baby and your neighbors are smokers. Or when you feel like resting when less than a meter from you someone wants to have fun... The sea is dirty, crowded and small, the available pool is overcrowded and colder than sea, the ambulant sellers are still yelling about their nice coconuts, the showers cold as hell, and I could go on and on... I could see the efforts of the owners to provide some extras (e.g. playing area for kids, etc), but those come after the basics are met.

I have a hard time understanding how people willingly come to these places when there are way nicer and cheaper (or even free) beaches on Itlay’s coasts. I guess these resorts gain their fame decades ago because at the moment they are the worst places I’ve seen.
