Not so special

This was my 2nd visit to this aquarium. The 1st visit was me and my fiance. This visit was with family. My son absolutely loved it. There is loads to see and some amazing fish. Very well laid out and a brilliant way to pass a few hours. It took us about 3 to 4 hours to see everything. Its... More

Being busy during holidays we included the Aquarium also. Blue area is really cool. Yellow is funny with the otters. Purple is interesting with stories and green is for snakes and turtles and gekkos. Restaurant is available from the street also. No need for visit to exhibition. Offers nice sea food on good price. Including unlimited red or white wine... More

Really great place to spend whole afternoon! Sharks are amazing, octopus but also everything else is just great. Staff is nice and pleasant (well like everywhere in Italy). Mostly all spieceis are described also on shorter English translation.

Got to see lots of fish and sea animals and the best bit was seeing all the sharks. I liked when we looked at the sting rays in the tank when they pressed their faces against the glass it looked funny. We also got to touch one near the entrance to section one.

Kind of rubbish place. I've been literally robbed: 70 euros for 2 adults and 2 children, when something like this is in the UK would not cost more than £35 with a family ticket. The place is for most of its part inaccessible to impaired and disabled person. It's also poorly maintained (rubbish everywhere, gums, ashes) and the staff almost... More

I had quite low expectations, but the visit was a positive surprice, the kids enjoyed. Sure, we've been to better and bigger aquariums, but now this was near by and I'd say worth the money. It included 4 different buildings from which the blue one was the biggest and best including the penquins, sharks and jelly fish. They had renovated... More

The aquarium is quite old but there are some very interesting exhibits and it's worth seeing. The ticket costs €20 for adult, which feels like an ok price for the experience. Not the best aquarium in Europe (Lisbon is my #1) but I don't regret visiting it either. But in the high season be prepared for crowds and lots of... More

Worth a visit if you like aquariums. Try and get discounted tickets from tourist information. Looks really big but most of the exhibition is in one block. Our stay lasted about 2.5hrs and we caught a train from Rimini to Cattolica/ then the bus 125 from the station (bus stop out of the station on the left in what looks... More

The local acquarium was a positive surprise. We didn't expect much looking from the outside, and were also a bit surprised about the price of the tickets. But, I think the place was worth it. There were some very interesting fish (and also other animals) you would not necessarily expect from an aquarium in a place like Cattolica. Interiors were... More
