Il Ponte di Combo è uno straordinario esempio di architettura storica locale, offre uno scorcio sulla Valfurva, con un panorama molto suggestivo. A metà dell'arcata che sovrasta il torrente Frodolfo sono poste due cappelle votive, raffiguranti l’una S. Giovanni Nepomuceno, protettore della furia delle acque, l’altra il trasporto della Santa Croce nella cittadina spagnola di Bellpuig, con la quale la cittadina di Bormio è difatti gemellata. Nei pressi era presente l’antica dogana. Posto incantevole, bello davvero.

Attraversare il Frodolfo, su questo antico ponte in pietra, ti fa entrare nella storia della città di Bormio. Fermatevi a leggere i pannelli esplicativi all'inizio e alla fine del ponte. Vi racconteranno le curiosità relative al ponte stesso e del quartiere omonimo, che ha per stemma un gatto veramente "ingrifato".

Il Ponte di Combo è stato costruito, ultizzando solo pietra e calce, nel 1951 anno in cui una devastante alluvione distrusse il vecchio ponte.
Di epoca successiva invece le due cappellette al centro.
È una bellissima cartolina della Vecchia Bormio.
