Beautiful valley with alternative lifts and slopes in Bormio
Jan 2020
Beautiful valley with alternative lifts and slopes in Bormio that is close about 25 minutes by free bus if you have the skipass.

Needs improvement
Jan 2020 • Family
There is an antiquated chair lift up to the main area and then you are stuck getting a single button lift to the main area unless you are advanced enough to ski down to the cable car. The resort is difficult to negotiate from one side to the other and the left hand side button lift wasn’t working at all. The queues for the beginners button lift were inexcusable with the usual ski schools butting in. They stopped the travellator to the cable car for no apparent reason and the chair lift to the very top was closed on New Year’s Eve because of “bad weather” which seemed to be false. The slopes were good but only one black. Its best feature is easy access to Bormio where there is more skiing!

Skied here many years ago. It was great then but now I couldnt believe how much they had improved. Vast number of new pistes particularly red ones. Excellent lift systems all new and perfectly groomed pistes. Great restaurants too. Particularly fond of the new Sunny Valley Hotel.

Good but not great...
Feb 2019 • Family
We were staying in Bormio for a week but took a day out to ski the Deborah Campagnoni run of 3.7 km a couple of times. An excellent run but that was pretty much it as all the other pistes were somewhat less exciting. We also stopped off for lunch at the restaurant on top of the mountain but found it to be well below Bormio standards. Oh, and parking was also a hassle as the main parking garage was closed.

A worthwhile trip considering the DC run and scenic drive!

Don't miss out when skiing in Bormio

Small, but very nice view and slopes. We enjoyed a full day in Santa Catarina, so don't miss out. No lines, just great skiing!

Great!

The venue is located near Bormio in the Italian Alps and is well known for its skiing area. The village itself is arranged along a little creek named Frodolfo and the centre is not very big. The main attraction is of course the skiing area. They don't have many slopes but they are enough for every skill level. There are enough restaurants on the slopes for having a rest too. Normally there is not much traffic on the slopes which makes the skiing really great.

Good for skiers

Santa Caterina is smaller skiregion then Bormio or Livigno, but in this place you detect no crowd. They have something especially for skiers- Debora ski route- one of the fastest routes in Europe.

Great skiing

My husband came over here one day from Bormio as the ski conditions were highly recommended. Indeed the snow wad very good. The trails here are more challenging than Bormio 2000, better for advanced skiers.
The chalet up top is beautiful.
