I loved visiting this beautiful, simple church in Agrigento. The inside is spiritual and calming, and one can see through glass plates in the floor that the church is built on a Greek temple. You feel connected to centuries of worshippers.

This is one of the most special ancient churches I've ever visited, and I've been to many all over the world. We had the added bonus of hearing a service with ACCORDION! Only in Sicily. The view from the terrace is mind-boggling.

This church dates back to the 1100's and has a rather magical quality to it. It is small, wonderfully ancient in feel, and tranquil. Very special place.
