While visiting the Valley of Temples, a visit to the Kolymbetra Botanical Gardens was recommended. I really don't believe it is worth a separate admission....it is basically full of citrus trees and lots of mosquitos and small annoying gnats. I'd pass.

Entering in this garden is like arriving in Eden. ...a perfume of oranges and jasmine all around....The gardens are very beautiful and passing through it you can see the temple of Vulcano . You need to buy z separate ticket, that costs 6 euro.

The garden is beautiful and interesting. It made for a cool break from visiting the temples. But it is mainly an arboretum with citrus trees. And definitely not the most beautiful garden in Sicily!

It's confusing: signs from inside of the Valley of Temples to get to the garden. I descended, took a few pictures on the way but I was eventually asked for a ticket. I showed my ticket but a lovely English-speaking young lady told me that...More

We are told that this tree is 300 years old. It is a great specimen of an olive tree situated within the park that surrounds the valley of the temples. You may see several as you walk the area

An outstanding collection of citrus plants, well labeled. The black and white map they provide is hard to read; it was useless for keeping me well located. Regret that TripAdvisor did not give me the option of posting a picture a colored map.

Beautiful landscapes with green backgrounds and fresh air. Bring sandals with a good grip because you would have to hike over hills and down to valleys.

It is on account of the FAI , Fondo Ambiente Italiano (Italy's National Trust) that this splendid garden was finally open to the public in 2001 and is managed by FAI volunteers. The origins of the Garden date back to the Greek colonization of Sicily...More

Highly recommended for a relaxing walk through the Sicilian flora. You will find olive trees and all sorts of insects and lizards.
