Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Loved this historical place in Batroun. There you can enjoy lovely sunsets and take nice pictures of the site and of you.

Beautiful place. Batroun has a very lovely old town, which you will pass when visiting the old wall. It's a must see!

A must see when visiting Batroun, located in the Old Souk. You get a good view on the wall when you visit Church of Our Lady of the Sea. Many people also go down to the shore line to see / photograph the wall. I even saw people taking their wedding pictures.

Amazing experience, it is a must see while visiting Batroun. You can go down to the rocks, but the stairs are not easily found, just ask one of the locals to help you.

You can reach this place either by moving through the rocky shore facing st estphan cathedral or simply through the old roads of batroun. You can enjoy the waves breaking at the wall or you can enjoy a beautiful sunset from there. When you are in Batroun, this place is a must visit.

Walking around Batroun is easy. It is best done with a guide. There is a lot to see and it is always better when someone explains the significance of what you are seeing. I was not expecting to see the Phoenician Wall or for its size and location. It was a moment where the continuity of time had new significance. This is especially so when taken into consideration alongside the other delights of Batroun.

It is one of not many phoenician structures we can still admire. The origins of the wall are not 100% confirmed, it could be part of the defence system but it could be also remains of the stone pit. The wall is beautifully located at the seaside, which makes amazing scenery for photos any time of the day and all year around.

The Phoenician Wall is a lasting monument to the Phoenician's maritime know how. This wall created a great defense mechanism for the inhabitants of Batroun. That the wall is still there is a marvel.

A must visit, the wall is ancient and looks amazing from the sea if you rent a kayak, or from the inside! If you’re adventurous enough, you could climb the wall and sit and watch a crazy sunset from up there...
