Get a double ticket - Lascaux + Le Thot for a fab day out. There is a great interactive 3d presentation + " prehistoric mirror" where you feel you are in the presentation... Lots of animals there - all those that are represented in the cave paintings at Lascaux including Bison and Przewalski's horse which are now extinc in the... More

We got tickets for here as a joint offer either the Lascaux caves and assumed that it would be a big and impressive companion site. However, I'm still a little baffled by it! There were two great components that were really worth the effort. Firstly, a 3D video explaining the climatic conditions of this part of the world when all... More

Crowded, with few exhibits. We wouldn't go back, it didn't add anything to the experience of Lascaux II.

We had a long wait for the English speaking tour at Lascaux caves so were told this was a good introduction and would give us context. The women who told us this knew that we did not speak French (and were over 3) and so would not benefit from Le Thot. I am aware I am in France and understand... More

Seems to be lots of work going on so possibly not running as it should be ? Hoping that's why it was so poor!? A few cows and goats to look at - nothing else to do outside . Normally very good a stretching out time but not here. We booked in for a workshop but couldn't bear to stay... More

. When we arrived at Lascaux.,it was too late for a tour in English, so we booked for next day. They directed to the museum at Thon. This showed the way the cave paintings were made, I went to an 'animation' where a guide brought a seemingly 3D (holographic?) large reindeer, and a hyena which was five times the modern... More

Good place to buy combine ticket for there and Lascaux. There is also a very interesting 3D presentation on the impact of weather changes. Lots of animals outside. Good for kids and nice walk out for grownups.

The kids really loved the interactive show at the start and as we were the only ones there (out of season), the guide gave it to us in very well spoken English. We enjoyed this place and would have like to spend more time here but we had a booked time at the Lascaux cave which cut our visit slightly... More

What a waste of time and money! Apart if you have young children and again the commentaries are not targeted for the right audience. It's cheaper if combined with the Lascaux ticket but it is another tourist attraction that is overpriced. Best visiting the caves of rouffignac where it's real and the guide is superb.

We were lucky to get our group in free. Glad we did so otherwise I would of been rather disappointed. The park 99% is in French. The animal park was very very scant. 5 buffalos, a hand full of deer and a dozen goats. Very sad looking. The kids had fun running around as it was empty. Not surprised why.... More
