The cruise took about 3 hours. While the ride was a bit too fast and bumpy for me, it was still worth it. I had never seen that many wild dolphins in my life! I belive we saw more than 50 of them. I would definitely recommend doing this if you're in Muscat!

My husband and I booked a sunset dhow cruise with Coral Ocean Tours and were very happy with their service. Satish was quick to reply to my email and the follow up questions I had. He met us at the marina as promised and helped us find the dhow we were meant to board. Overall seems a very reliable and competitively priced company!

We booked a dolphin watching and snorkeling trip to Bandar Al Khairan and it was amazing what we could see there. Squid, Sea Turtle, Needlefish and Boxfish. Lovely ride, nice and remarkable trip.

EASE OF BOOKING; To start off, they provided an impeccable service, Mr. Sathish at 'Coral Ocean Tours' was extremely helpful while making our booking for the 10:00 am slot (for two people), considering we reached out to him a night before. We also changed our drop off location, twice, and he was patient enough to facilitate it. We were picked up from the hotel in a private sedan on time, and we had no trouble coordinating with them despite that we didn't have a local phone number. They had no issue to correspond via WhatsApp/ email or the hotel phone line. This was our last day in Muscat so we had luggage with us which Mr. Vishnu helped us store in their office at the marina before the tour started. BOAT & SAFETY; I'm generally anxious before boat rides especially if I believe the vessel is relatively small. However this was a decent sized vessel (36-40 ft easily) and a big shout out to our Captain Saif referred to as Mr. Safe, truly lived up to his name. It was a seamless ride, despite the sea being a bit rough that day, we had a number of children on board who were perfectly safe as well. They had life jackets for every passenger on board, conveniently placed under the seats. They provided us with sufficient bottled water & juices on-board. The boat also had a toilet available. TOUR & SNORKELING; Once the boat exits the marina, he took us directly deep into the sea in search of dolphins. We were lucky enough to see quite a few, it was a different kind of a rush to spot them. Though they gave a disclaimer before the ride that we may or may not get to see them in action, which truthfully is not in their control. After that he took us near the reef, those who wanted to go snorkeling were provided with the gear (glasses & breathing tube-no fins). The water was so clean, we could see the gorgeous tiny fishes from the boat, it was enchanting. On the way back the Captain steered along the coast, passing by/through giant scenic rocks at a slow pace & making sure we had enough time to see as well as take pictures/videos. TIPS; 1. Don't hesitate if you're not a swimmer, I can barely float myself. Make use of the life jacket & go snorkel, just stick near the boat if you're paranoid. 2. If you plan to snorkel, instead of wasting time on the boat to change, wear your swimming suit/ bikini/ trunks under your clothing, and keep an extra set of dry clothes for the way back, though they have a toilet in case you plan to change. 3. If you don't plan to snorkel, feed the fishes instead, it's a sight to see. Keep biscuits/ prepackaged plain cupcakes, trust me it would be worth it. 4. Don't waste time trying to catch the dolphins on camera, many people wasted the experience in doing so, you barely catch a decent frame. Instead be old school, enjoy the moment, just take it in, its mesmerizing.
