This museum located in Muttrah is one of the smallest museum that can visited with historical information about the relation between Oman and France. Recommended for tourist.

This museum gives a glimpse into historic life in Oman. It's the oldest house in Muscat (1896) which in itself is fascinating and the contents, which relate to the life and trails and tribulations of the French Consul to Muscat (whose residence this was), give an interesting viewpoint.

Take a 30 minute tour around this old house. Look up and see the ceilings and enjoy the beautiful inner courtyard. Imagine living there without aircon and connectivity. A little gem of a house which has survived in old Muscat City.
