It is a very interesting place of arts and culture, not just a museum. You can see and learn the history of this beautiful country. There is a big collection of guns, silvers, royal clothes, jwelles and stamps (on the 1st floor). You can explore all the bldgs and you can see also the recreation of a typical Omani -inside- house.! Down side: No photography allowed inside. Upside: fabulous displays of Omani clothing, jewellry, utensils, weapons, etc. It was worthwhile being escorted by our private guide. We were most impressed by the displays of elegant royal clothing and silver.
