Amazing!

Great location where you can hike for 30 min. from the parkinglot. You can walk to the vulcano and even visit it inside for free! Best place of the island. Must see!

One of the best volcanoes thar we have seen. It was great to see the different visual experiments that were conducted. First just under the surface a shovel of rock chips is handed round to touch and u cannot bare them in your hand until they cool. Next they put brush cuttings into a hole and soon it ignites and... Fancy walking in a real (dormant) volcano? Well that's what this is. A small walk from the parking leads you to a real once in a lifetime experience. A must

A great volcano, small enough to walk around but big enough to show you all the features without the fire

We did the bus tour round the volcano, the landscape is hypnotising ,to see how the volcanic lather has run stopped and stayed for so long is amazing, building the small roads round it must have taken years, they were really twisty and bendy were the easiest route has been used. At the top a man poured cold water into... More

Having had a fascination with volcanos since school I came across this walk by chance. Walking across the lava field in the quite was erie but fascinating imagining what it was like. To be able to walk into the crater and just see the size and imagine the power that created it was amazing. Well worth the stop off. You... More

100 meters or so from the entrance to the national park. There is a little parking area to the left. From there the foot path takes you around the entire volcano. There are little boards with information on different things as you walk along. They are written in spanish, english and german. However, if you are only interested in checking... More

The crater itself is interesting, walking around it is not. My recommendation: turn RIGHT (anti clockwise) when facing the crater, visit it and then turn back. Walking around the crater does not add anything.
