Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The first two days the weather was absolutely fabulous. This a beautiful long and sandy beach, even in the height of summer you and your party are likely to be the on the people on the beach. You could feel like the Swiss Family Robinson who were marooned of an uninhabited island in the Pacific Ocean.

Love this beach. Beautiful today. Busier today but no problem social distancing. Amazing views while walking to and from the pier.

My favorite beach in Ireland. Spotlessly clean and you will have it pretty much to yourself apart from the sea birds and a few walkers. Do the walk from the village to the quay along the beach and back to the village. It will take you a couple of hours but if the sun comes out there is nowhere you would rather be walking. Bring a picnic and find the bench on top of the sand dune overlooking Ballyness Bay and the mountains. Spectacular. #saveballynessbay

What's not to like. Wide open beaches with hardly anyone there.
If you are fit, leave the car in Falcarragh, walk along the back roads to the beach car park, then head back to Falcarragh along the beach to the pier. About 6 miles but worth it. Saw a seal and the view back to Horn head was worth it

The Back Strand Beach in Falcarragh, Co.Donegal, Ireland is one of the world’s most valued treasures. The sand and sea colours reflect those of a tropical paradise. The beach is on The Wild Atlantic Way and overlooks Tory Island. The sunsets here (weather permitting) are as good as the ones at Cafe Mambo or The Gulf of Mexico. This is a surfers paradise. The Back Strand Beach is a definite visit for anyone holidaying in this beautiful part of Ireland & The Wild Atlantic Way.

We stayed in Falcarragh 2 days and we had the chance to go to the beach. Amazing view as you have the ocean on one side and also the mountains on the other side. On the beach is passing a river so it’s a good place to spend some time relaxing.

Surfing, swimming, walking, hiking, all are done there on Drumnatinny Beach. You are surrounded by Donegal mountains, farms and fields. 2 Km from town. 3.5 Km of beach. Parking available and a short walk to the Ray River that flows into the Atlantic. On a clear day you can see the beauty of the Wild Atlantic Way.

A spectacular place in God's own country... wild, pristine and a place of healing. Time stood still and I felt very connected to nature. The solitude and beauty here is unsurpassed.
