We got an information sheet that explained about the furnace remains within the grounds. This was interesting. There was a free talk about it too but we didn't have time for this. I was expecting more types of different metal products. What was there was...More

Loved visiting and the whole story of the Darby family. Model of the iron bridge was especially interesting as the real thing is covered in protective layers whilst being repainted. The impressive iron table with the 4 dogs for legs was well worth seeing. Really...More

Certainly worth a visit seeing item that are made. Over 3 floors but lift available. Worth buying a passport if visiting other places in Ironbridge. If you are a member of English Heritage let them know as you can get a further 20% off.

Jam-packed with information and artefacts, this must rank in the top three of the 10 Coalbrookdale industrial museums. Enginuity, the Darby Houses, Upper Furnace Pool and Loamhole Dingle are adjacent. There's a lot of reading to get through, as the story of the Coalbrookdale Company...More

The museum is on 3 floors but has lifts to all floors. Very interesting exhibits about Brunell and the engineering miracles of the Victorian era.

A well set out and informative display. I enjoyed reading the time lines, but sometimes found that the starting point was not clearly indicated. The household and decorative objects were worth seeing. Good value, especially for any enthusiast of engineering and history.

We arrived a little before 3 pm on a Thursday. Unfortunately the museum was open only until 4pm. The exhibits are well done. Begin your tour on the 2nd floor and work your way down. My husband and I learned a good deal about coal...More

Very airy, great artifacts. We really enjoyed the interactive table. Not an all day activity but definitely worth a visit.

An expensive 40 minutes for our family. Was hard to keep the children interested (9 and 12)as nog enough interaction. The building is very spacious and exhibits displayed well. More for the adult enthusiast.

We also ate from the van parked outside Enginuity, behind the Museum of Iron. We had sandwiches crisps drinks and biscuits and the food was quite adequate. There weren't enough chairs and tables though so we had to sit on... More
