Visited here last weekend for a Sunday afternoon bike ride and was not disappointed. We had no idea this great park was so close to our home! We parked at Johnson Park just to the east and took a the northern most trail around that which was very hilly. If you're looking for flat terrain, take the southernmost trail in... More

My kids are huge nature buffs, and this park did not disappoint! They loved finding frogs and fish and all the birds that live here. Lots of trails to bike or hike and plenty of places to fish. The playground is huge and was a big hit. Perfect spot for a picnic. You do have to pay to enter the... More

A beautiful park with many paved trails. Great location to walk, bike, or run. Not usually crowded and pretty peaceful. The natural gas smell is not the best (and it's weird that the gas pumps are running near a beach), but that's about the only downside. I love coming here to walk for a few hours.

Glad we chose to go while we were in town. The entrance is a little hard to find. The place is pretty big and their are big rod iron fences surrounding it. Look for the big building in the middle and head towards that. Lots of places to sit and have a picnic or purchase food there. The bathrooms have... More

Love this area that has been completely redone into this wonderful park complete with bike, beach and hiking trails. The people of Grand Rapids should be so grateful to have this gem in there vinicity. We were spending the night in Grand Rapids and brought along our bikes. Good decision. Loved this park. Meijers needs a shout for all the... More

We met a group of friends here. I have to saw it is so much cleaner than it has been in years past. The beach was very clean and so were the bathrooms. There's no lifeguard on duty.

Never even knew the place existed until I went there with the grandkids one day. Well kept grounds, reasonable prices to get in for the day, nice swimming beach, great splash pad for the kids, clean bath houses, kayak and paddleboat rentals. Great place to spend the afternoon,

We stopped to take a hike on some of the paths. Plenty to see. Nice place to walk and see some beautiful scenery! Some of the paths are wooded and felt nice on a warm day. Did not go to splash pad but looked really cool from outside the fence. Park was nicely laid out and appeared to have plenty... More
