Great views
May 2021
On our tour of Scoland, visiting relatives. We finely made it all the way up to Buckie. After a short rest and a beer we went for a strole. And we were shown around and saw Bow Fiddle Rock. What a delight. There are a few similar ones dotted around the coast, but this one has the largest hole I think. Well worth the walk.

Glad we didn't miss this

Very easy to find. Wouldn't have missed it. A short walk in off the street but great sight. Can walk down to beach but only if able.

Stunning
Jun 2021
Went down to the rock several times while we stayed in Portknockie and it looked different every time owing to the tide and the light. Such a beautiful place. The coastal path along to Cullen was breathtaking and well worth the effort.

Gorgeous
Jun 2021 • Couples
Gorgeous part if our country. Take time out to visit this little gem. Can be seen from the top which has easy access for most or can go down closer to get a better view and more secluded. Beautiful structure which we managed to see on a beautiful day

Pretty cool view.

This is such a cool sight to see. The walk to the area is not hard and the rock can be viewed from the top of the headland if you don't wish to walk to the bottom.
On the day we visited someone had left some abandoned art work in the stones on the beach. That was a great addition to our visit.

Breathtaking!
Sep 2020
An absolutely amazing place! Awesome scenery which would impress at any time of year. Short walk across grassland from parking on a side road. Views to the rock and the rest of the bay were stunning.
Any further exploration across land can be a bit tricky to be able to view at closer quarters the cormorants on the rocks; not suitable terrain for those who have walking difficulties. Certainly those visitors should not attempt to get down to visit the cave or pebble beach via the steep, narrow paths. However they can still see the rock or walk on the easy grassy coastal path alongside the bay and then to view Cullen.
Highly recommended.

Great walks
Sep 2020
We started off at Bow Fiddle Rock and walked the coastal path to Cullen. Great scenery. Walked back via the viaduct to enjoy the views of Cullen in the sunshine.

Is there an easy way for a child to walk to this which doesn't involve any dangerous tracks or rocky slopes?

Yes if you start in Portknockie and stick to the path, it is safe. Keep children under 5 attended and close.
