I arranged a tour through the Yellow House Hostel in Antigua to do the Pacaya Volcano hike in the morning and spend the afternoon relaxing here in the pools. I really enjoyed the pools. It is relaxing and they have music playing in the background. There are volcanoes in the backdrop. There are 4 pools of varying temperatures. They have... More

I saw the brochure for this place with a photo of the pools set against quiet green hills and immediately booked my afternoon there. When I arrived I discovered that the spa is NOT near green hills - it is next to an industrial area with big trucks rolling by every minute - it is quite noisy and not the... More

The spa paid for our round trip taxi from Antigua. I got the whole package with coffee-chocolate scrub circuit of baths and massage. Professional treatment. Lunch was good. Only complaint was there was no way to tip the excellent women who give the treatments

I´ve been several times in Kawilal Spa. The hot spring water pools, the massages and the steam baths are very relaxing! The Staff is very friendly, the facilities impeccable and the food amazing! I loved the Tilapia with coconut sauce and the berries smoothie feels great after spending a while in the hot water pools. A recomended experience for families... More

I guess I'm a little spoiled by the hot springs in South America, but these seemed ok to me. Kind of small and the water didn't seem that clean. My massage was good but nothing to fawn over. I'm glad I went, but I don't know that I'll visit next time I'm in Guatemala. Also, when you book through an... More

After a morning climbing Pacaya volcano all I wanted to do was sleep! So relaxing at the spa was a great alternative. First we had an hour of being taken into different thermal baths (with different temperatures that is). here we were also given a lovely smoothie. After that we went to the sauna for half an hour, then a... More

Couldn't fault this place at all a great place to relax and feel like a princess for the day! Free shuttles leave Antigua on a Wednesday which adds value!

I took the free shuttle from Antigua (every Wed, leaves at 9 AM from the Cathedral), in a modern clearly marked van. While enroute, the driver arranged for my massage / coffee body scrub. The scrub, one hour massage, and hot tub "tour" cost $85 and included a smoothie. Beautiful grounds, friendly staff, relaxing day. Little English spoken. Would go... More
