Amazing place

Ghar Lapsi is a small fishing place with just three restaurants known for their fresh fish. The place is worth a visit because one has very lovely views to admire and the sea is marvellous.

Great Natural Swimming Pool
Aug 2019
Lovely cove with clear water, perfect for all levels of swimmers and good snorkelling for younger kids. Visited in August and it wasn't too busy, and nice that there were lots of local people not just tourists. Not that easy to get to, a car was a definite advantage, and do buy a watermelon from the lorry parked at the entrance - was delicious and a very reasonable 2 euros. Only downside is that the amount of shade is limited to rocky overhangs and a small cave around the edge, and like everywhere in Malta lots of people smoke. Not an all day affair, but good for an hours swim.

Rocky pools awesome to swim
Aug 2019 • Family
This place was stunning. Gentle enough waves for safe swimming. Shallow enough to walk then it drops off a shelf to about 20 feet deep. It is very picturesque and snorkelling is fantastic here. Was quite busy but not as busy as a sandy beach. Beach/swim shoes are a must you would regret bare feet as the rocks are sharp in places. If you situate yourself in the cave you will also be sheltered from the sun for much of the day should you wish. Parking at the top is free and its a three minute walk down to the sea. All in all fantastic place.

Beautiful place to Scuba Dive
Aug 2019 • Couples
Lots of steps to walk up and down to get to the water but worth it.
A great underwater cave you can spend time exploring, Nice reefs, very shallow everywhere. Great for a checkout dive or just snorkelling.

Beautiful cove
Jun 2019
This is one of our favourites. Off the beaten track and beautiful. Ideal for snorkelling. Diving and sunbathing. Blue clear water and a little bar for refreshments and wonderful Maltese tuna rolls!

Best swimming spot in Malta
Jun 2019 • Couples
Ghar Lapi is a wonderful little rocky cove which is great for swimming in. We went a good few times on our week long Malta trip. We found it to be not over crowded, even on a very hot Sunday when temperatures hit 40 degrees. Very easy ladder access straight into deep water. Just a great place for swimming that doesn’t get the crowds that go to St Peters Pool or the masses that go to Golden Beach (in June anyway probably busier in peak season of July/August) Was also the only place on Malta where we had no car parking problems.

Ghar Lapsi - a beautiful little cove
May 2019 • Friends
I visited Ghar Lapsi end of May - at this time of the year it was not overcrowded and very peaceful. The color of the water was just amazing. The bus didn`t go there as the bus stop was out of service. Therefore, I had to walk from the stop "Bajjada". This took approx. 20 minutes. However, there wasn`t a pavement so you had to walk on the road which felt a bit uncomfortable.

Stopped of here on my travels. Water as crystal clear, great for snorkelling. Lots of parking. A few restaurants if you fancy something to eat/drink. Worth stopping by, but wouldn't travel miles to get here.

Ghar Lapsi - swim and snorkel
Aug 2018
This lovely small bay is a must to visit for those who enjoy swimming and snorkling. You can either swim inside the bay or in open waters. The surroundings are just stunning. One can also take a walk enjoying the mighty cliff face and views of wonderful Maltese coastline. The mysterious island of Filfla, a few kilometers away, is just beautiful especially at sunset.
