About
An unforgettable experience of a unique Maltese folklore show and dinner, giving eager audiences a glimpse of Malta through the ages, as this tiny but significant Island of ours journeys from the prehistoric to present times… with special emphasis on one of the greatest chapters in Maltese history … the Knights of St. John and the Great Siege, when a small garrison of the famous Knights of St. John together with our heroic Maltese defenders managed to defeat the mighty Ottoman Empire. A talented cast of dancers and entertainers dressed in rich medieval costumes and shining armour together with our magnificent horses, will entertain, excite and amuse you during two hours of non-stop action, song and dance. Witness a colourful fusion of tribal music, folk dancing, carnival, fire dancers, knights on horseback, live battles and much more highlighting Maltese culture, traditions and folk.

Aug 2016
Quite an interesting visit at this place where one can enjoy a taste of local food and having a quick walk through the glorious history of Malta enriched with local music.

"Authentic" Maltese evening with an electric organ?
Sep 2016 • Couples
We got picked up from our hotel on Maltese time, which is not necessarily when it's supposed to be, on a very hot evening in an un-air-conditioned people carrier. Not the best start to the evening.
The literature showed a barmy evening, eating alfresco, with traditional dancing, food, wine and music. Well, the evening was barmy but the "alfresco" turned out to be inside, the wine was a bit rough to say the least but, as there was plenty of it after a while you didn't notice. The food was good, interesting and plentiful Maltese cuisine but not for the unadventurous. The dancing supposed to be traditional was,
I thought, a little stage managed and then of course there was the traditional folk music! On an electric organ and guitar? With 40's, 50's, 60's and some even newer pop music? Where, oh, where was the gentle traditional mandolin music of the brochure?
We went as a couple and we were put on a table with another couple and four lads all from the Netherlands which was the one redeeming factor of the evening - unfortunately to the cost of the Maltese Nights. The four lads were going to enjoy themselves and that's exactly what they did, and their humour was infectious. They saved the evening for us. would we go again? Definitely not, which is a great shame as it's good to explore the culture and traditions of the country you're visiting and we've had some great evenings in other places.
Don't get me wrong the Limestone Heritage Centre is beautiful and very interesting - just avoid the Maltese Nights!

Good night
Sep 2016 • Family
We enjoyed this, it is a little awkward at the beginning as you are put on a table with lots of different nationalities trying to make small talk, but you soon get to no everyone. The food was quite slow but I think our table was one of the last to be called and apparently it was a full house on the night we went. I was disappointed that there was only a couple of bottles of water and 1 red and 1 white carafe of wine to each table. I would of been happy with a jug of tap water I was so thirsty. The dancers were ok they were only on for about 15 minutes but they dragged people from the audience and I happened to be one of those audience members that was thrown around twirling on the dance floor but it was all good fun and actually made my night more entertaining because of it. It wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea I would say it was aimed more for the older generation as oppose to young adults.

Traditional Maltese night
Jun 2016 • Couples
A must do for anyone. Young or old this is a pleasant and safe place to spend an evening celebrating Maltese culture, Every hotel will provide transport to and from hotels as it is off the beaten even for Malta. Food was outdoor but very good and a wide selection for everyones taste with free flowing vine . Ps a very nice venue for someone thinking of getting married here, We ware warmly welcomed and were seated with five other couples from 3 different countries and although the language barrier was a bit difficult at times I am sure we all had a great time, Thanks to you all,

Maltese dancers and donkeys!
Oct 2015
If you get a chance , you should go to one of these nights. You get picked up from your hotel and dropped back there afterwards. You arrive at the Old Limestone quarry and are greeted with a drink , its all beautifully lit at night. You have a hot and cold buffet meal and dessert and wine on table included and they entertain you with songs and dance. Best of all three donkeys are brought in that just steal the show !! Its worth it .

Interesting night out.
Jul 2015 • Solo
With wanting to know more about the history and culture of Malta and its people I found this interesting and very different to visits to museums (including the limestone heritage museum where the show was based), churches, and other historical sites on the island.
Whilst it was a bit expensive and the pick up was late I enjoyed the whole evening and certainly do it again.

Great night out - Malta Nights.
Dec 2013 • Friends
We all enjoyed an amazing night out on a "foul" night in Dec 2013".Three adults and a child of three. Having not seen anything like this before we had no idea what to expect. This was a great time from beginning to end. We must have chosen the best venue. Greeted by an amazing Xmas Tree followed by a long walk from car park with rain like you've never seen, probably like the UK at that time. We went in, took our allocated sheets and waited for the show to start. Knowing VERY little of Malta's history we found this experience informative. I did wonder what supper was to be, but no worries. A very interesting meal served with a smile by cheerful staff. The wine just kept coming, and soft drinks too. The show itself was excellent by an excellent cast and the horses were beautiful and a joy to watch. Not a cheep evening but would certainly do this again. If you, like me know little about Malta, go along and enjoy the story split into 12 "Portraits", you will learn a lot.

a great evening show with a little historical lovable story. Maltese history as seen through a dance show with live horses, and singing and dancing. Food was good and we went with a two year old who loved IT!!

Jan 2014 • Couples
We wish we had looked at trip advisor before we booked and saw this on Thursday 16th Jan 2014 , It sounds great on the brochures and the travel rep raved about it but how wrong they were.

The travel and venue were not a problem but the actual show and food was horrendous . Very high school amateur dramatics , highlight was watching the poor bloke with the shovel clearing up after the horses. Sound was terrible and we were at the front !!!

Food was the worst ,meal we had during a great week in Malta. Drinks served in metal jugs into metal cups giving everything that metallic cold taste . flat coke , flat sprite and the white wine was spoilt by the metallic taste , as for free flowing ha ha.

A total waste of 76 euro for 2 and I feel sorry for those who took children.

there were about 100 people on the night we went but looking at the venue would be 4-5 times that when full during the summer , we did not queue for more than 10 minutes to get in but hate to think how it would be in the high season

A night to forget . save your money and use it for a decent meal out or a few day car hire and see what malta really has to offer instead of this overpriced , over egged drivel

Funny night out, different way to get your dinner
Dec 2013 • Couples
The pick up and drop of worked ok (took a long while from pick up to get to the show, but drop off was fast).

The site was nice looking, the queue to get in, not too long (we were lucky to be amongst the first, and well off season). You sit on wood benches with a wood plank infront of you as wood table. It's not easy to get in or out.

The "free flowing wine" was correct, and the tip for the wine is, those cans that are completely open in front, have wine, red or white, those with extra metal piece got soda. Stick your hand in air if you wish more. The quality of the wine, was dissappointing.

The 3 course meal was as expected (tried on a disney paris show once earlier), served on metal pans, you had rise mix with some kind of meat in it? Dry chicken leg with a few potatoes and a white wheat bun to it, and very few vegs (got a tinny bit of a carrot). Dessert was a bit of sliced fruit.

I found the show as expected, story was nice, if you understand english you'll be fine, the hostes speaks it clear and great. It's a mix of dancing, horses, bit of singing and takes you through some of the historic developments of Malta. It's like small windows of a long history line, don't expect a long theater show, they do it nicely and if you enjoy these small moments, then you'll find this visit good.

We did enjoy it, it was deffinately worth the stay. If you are no good with high sounds, then don't come here.
