I contacted Tirol Outdoor Experience to book a hotel and activities. I asked them to book a rafting and kayaking tour at certain parts of the day. When I received the travel information I saw -to my surprise- the request to drive by Chili Rafting and book the times ourselves?? If I had to book the times myself I would not have needed a travel agent. However, the rafting was very nice. The children enjoyed it a lot. The service was good. We had fun. The instructor was nice. The kayaking was a nice experience as well. A lovely scenery. I can advice Chili Rafting but just it yourself and not via this travel agent!

I had planned to come to Caldes especially for the rafting of the Nocce River - it is one of the top ten in the world, but mid September the water levels were down, so it didn't have the degree of difficulty that I expected. What it did have was continual rapid... So constantly working, little time to pause. it was highly enjoyable, we hammed it up, the guide gave good training before hand, and was an expert from Nepal.... For him it was a day in the park. We only did the family length because of a child in the group. The company responded to my emails quickly and were able to put together a group late in the season, keeping me informed about whether they could do a run on the day I had available. One Chili rafting guy took fabulous photos and for 15 euros extra we got a CD of them. it ended up more expensive than expected and had to provide cash but it was worth it.

We booked to activities - rafting and canoe. Both were well organized. The guides speak English (the rafting guide even knew few words in Hebrew). There is a place to change cloths and take a shower. You can leave the car keys, phone and money at the reception. You just need to have a swimsuit, a towel and shoes that can get wet. The rafting was very exciting and fun. The canoe tour is at the lake, 30 mins from the center. It goes in the lake and then in narrow canyons that only a canoe can pass through. Very beautiful and unique experience.
