Lets not be surprised it is a church. A mediocre church at that. If you want to go see it take 10 Seconds and that should do. If you are a devoted catholic kneel down and pray. There is nothing in Lucena City worth spending Time or Money on its a Dump.

The Saint Ferdinand Cathedral in Lucena City, Philippines is located in St. Ferdinand Parish which was founded by Friar Mariano Granja in 1881. The construction of a church started in 1882, was finished by 1884, but was destroyed by fire in 1887. Another church was rebuilt in its place beginning that same year. The Bishop of Lipa built a seminary... More

Lots of beautiful scenes in this place!! We went in the evening during the week when it was a little cooler outside and there was still a lot of people visiting this historic cathedral. The murals were old and the cathedral was built in the 1800's if I remember correctly. Cool stop to check and see if you're in the... More

The Cathedral ceiling paint looks like a Cathedral in Rome. Which you could see all the painting in the ceiling.

The Cathedral looked simple. There was an ongoing construction when we visited it. Though they have a parking lot, it cannot accommodate all cars, so some parked outside the cathedral. It is situated along the main road in Bayan so it is very accessible especially to commuters.

This ⛪ cathedral is the seat of the Diocese of Lucena (central towns of Quezon Province) and one of the awesome church I visited. I just hope the vendors in the church's outskirts be relocated to maintain the atmosphere of solemnity in its premises.

Almost always the Cathedral is full of People during Sundays. There are many mass schedule there for the faithful. The floor has new tiles since the renovation is already finished. The facade is still the same design though which I think is very good since they are preserving the old design. The ceiling is also very good.

It isn't very old but its interesting. There is considerable amount of renovation taking place at the moment which, l am sure, will make it even better to visit. I hope the historical marker will have an English translation so everyone can enjoy it.
