Alatskivi Castle is a beautiful place to visit . The lady who worked at the ticket office was really kind and gave us further information about the castle . Well worth visiting , the rooms are tastefully renovated and specially the exhibition about the life of the castle’s staff was well organized and informative .

We visited the castle on sunny summer day and it was a really wonderful place to visit! What a long and interesting history and well described renovation process with a lot of pictures before and after. Those really helped to understand the massive project the ongoing renovation work has been. It was amazing that some of the original furniture in the castle was returned to the castle just recently. Not expensive to visit, especially if you travel as a family. Many bus groups stop here so it can get a little crowded although the castle is quite big. We wished there would have been a cafeteria. There is a restaurant but it didn't look like an easy and quick place to have a cup of coffee. Definetily worth a visit!
