Mount Dempo is the second highest mountain in suamtera after kerinci . In this mountain there is a spread of tea gardens were very spacious and green , beautiful and cool will spoil the visitors until late afternoon . Our group of five Australians, all 64YO+, didn't actually climb Dempo, simply viewed the lower parts, including the tea plantations and the tea factory. It was quite cool in the early morning mist- perhaps 15C? The young manager of the tea plantation was extremely friendly and helpful- a credit to the government-owned business. Its realy nice place.. still natural.. people are realy good and this destination is a must visited place when u come to sumatera selatan

My mother is came from this area.. and when the first time i come back. my relative take me to this place @gunung dempo tea plantation. Beautiful scenery .. be carefull when we drive car because its really narrow road at high altitude.. Dont forget to buy local tea and coffee .. worth to try
