What COVID-19

Yea I know you probably think this oul fella is most likely giving off about the crowds but actually no🤔ok there was quite a lot but hey everyone was well disciplined and kept to themselves or groups and I really can’t argue with that 👍
The park was in perfect manicured condition and above all clean🙌 it was a delight with all its walks and silence, we really should be proud of what we have on our own doorstep 👏👏
The cafe was well laid out and had an abundance of treats for the visitors to allow them to eat outdoors and for once I again didn’t see any litter which we kinda let ourselves down with... ok only 1 gripe, the bikes, why when kids are about do they have to think they have rite of passage riding at speed and ringing a wee bell thinking this is gods will and they are somewhat special 🤷🏻‍♂️ guys & dolls give it a rest and for once think of others, you know you’ll see more if you get off and walk 😁

Crawsfordburn Country Park Walks
Nov 2020
Lovely day trip to Crawfordsburn Forest Park and Helen's Bay on the North County Down Coast near Bangor. The latest Saturday excursion by me and my brothers during the Covid-19 pandemic restrictions took us around muddy pathways, Autumnal leaf covered walkways and strolls along the sandy beaches on an unusual warm sunny day in November. We walked around the different terrains of the park for nearly two hours, exploring the whole of the park lands and also taking our time to admire the views from coastline looking towards the County Antrim coastal towns of Carrickfergus and Whitehead. Highly recommend people to visit the area with their families, friends and dogs and it is such an easy place to get to with great road links from Belfast and also a train station nearby on the Bangor - Belfast train line. I'll think i'll plan a summer visit next year.

Where are the maps?
Aug 2020 • Couples
Thought we’d have a wonder around here whilst in Bangor. There was lots of parking and it was well signposted. There are toilets at the recreation centre, which we used before heading out and we were glad we did.
On leaving the rec-centre we decided to follow the Fen Trail but that was a fail. The signs and arrows seemed to stop on walking away from the rec-centre. We tried again but ended up at the same place again. Instead we followed the Running Trail but half way round lost that too, luckily we followed the road back to the car park.
We don’t remember seeing any maps at the rec-centre which I guess is due to COVID-19 but I also couldn’t find anything online either. If we were locals and went a lot we wouldn’t need a map but for a tourist, like ourselves, we certainly needed one.

Fab relaxed weekend meal
Aug 2020 • Family
We go here frequently for a Sunday lunch/dinner, very reasonable prices, nice outdoor seating with parasols in a perfect country park setting. Wife loves the falafel, I like the fish and chips, but both are fab. Covid-19 friendly with loads of space, has actually improved this place. Yay summer!

Sunny day at the beach
Aug 2020 • Family
Lovely day at the beach and walk along the coastal path. Worth a visit on a sunny day. Some broken glass and teenage drinking that looked to be getting a little raucous later in the day. There were police patrolling but they didn’t attend to this unfortunately. Again it’s a lovely area and lovely food at the cafe.
