Pretty historic parkland surrounding current townhall

Historic parkland home of Colin Bateman's teenage drinking haunt. Old trees dating to 17th century and beautiful manicured gardens and a stunning walled garden

This park is very picturesque and very accessible for the main railway and bus depots in Bangor. It houses the Town Hall and Coffee Cure Restaurant. When people get married in the Town Hall, Castle Park becomes a beautiful setting for photographs.

Castle Park- Great for long or short walks, close to Bangor Castle and beside the Bangor Castle walled gardens! Beautiful area and great to see the seasons change :) Brilliant to do outdoor/adventure activities with the kids such as collecting conkers or finding cute animals! Free and easy to get to :D best going during the day as teenagers can... More

Lots of space to take a long walk, for the kids to play in the newly built playground, or just wander around enjoying the views. There's a cafe at the castle and don't miss the walled gardens. Parking is plentiful. Lots of dog walkers too.

Nice park, lots of trees and shrubbery throughout. Also a lot of winding paths through it which make for a nice walk. There's free parking by the castle which is next to park. Its not enclosed and there are roads on a few sides so not great for dogs that don't recall well.

I visited her yesterday for a picnic with my 18 month old daughter. It was perfect there are picnic tables in a large green so she could safely run around. There are lots of rubbish bins also which is nice when picnicking. After we walked threw the grounds to the walled garden the walk is lovely but also easy to... More

A very old park with lots of ancient and interesting trees, some of which are named and described on little signs. There are various walks you can follow and none of them are difficult or long as the park is quite compact. A favourite place for dog walkers.

It's not the biggest park but there is a well laid out walking route with hard paths which wind their way around the area and show off the trees. If you are lucky, and don't have a dog accompanying you, you may see grey squirrels feeding on the ground and running up the tree trunks. At this time of year... More

This is a really nice place to walk away from the hustle bustle of the town centre. It has a lovely walled garden with nice plants and sculptures. There is good parking and it is also very close to Bangor railway station and bus station if you are arriving by public transport.
