This is an excellent place to visit while in Aberdeenshire. At its centre is the magnificent Haddo House which is worthy of a visit but check on which days it is open, at time of writing weekends and Mondays.

We didn't have time to visit the house, but the grounds were interesting, enlightening, mysterious, fun and spectacular in all sorts of ways.
Everything is clearly mapped and marked, but just poking around off-trail was very enjoyable for us.

The house was closed on our visit. It didn't spoil things had a walk around the country park. A lovely place to walk the dog it also has a dog agility park which is a great idea although our dog didn't use the agility course...More
We are frequent visitors throughout the year. Always a lovely walk around the lake, great picnic spots. Good parks - could do with adding a disabled accessible swing / roundabout. My son uses a wheelchair and we manage to push him around the lake etc....More
Lovely walks for everybody. Plenty of areas for well behaved dogs to walk off lead and an enclosed dog agility area too. A good variety of play areas for children to enjoy. Toilets clean and fresh. Coffee shop looked nice but we didn't go in...More
Nice for a walk, but would be happy to take a tour.We have visited Haddo House in spring, at that season wellies or walking shoes would be useful. We were with our little child in a pram and walking paths were suitable for it.
Good area for a walk. Some open areas for the dog and well pathed. Play areas for the kids are clean and safe. Allow an hour to go all the way round. Ducks are friendly as are over fed. Beware of the goose
