Always a lovely visit

Haddo House is an amazing place with lost of lovely walks through miles of countryside. I love going here on a weekend for long walks and to see the ducks and geese.

This is a popular place with families, couples & dog walkers. Lovely grounds with play equipment for kids & lots of space for all. The person who bakes for the cafe is a genius. The 'home bakes' are delicious. Yum! The toilets are recently upgraded & are 4 star. Recommend you also take a tour of the house itself. We've... More

This is a wonderful park for all ages and we visited several times over the school summer holidays. A wonderful opportunity for children to enjoy scenic walks. There are two play park areas and plenty of picnic tables if the weather is fine enough to enjoy a picnic. The public toilets near the NTS shop and café have finally been... More

Haddo Country Park has over 5 miles of paths through woodlands, meadows and around the lake. Don’t forget to pick up a free map from the National Trust shop in the courtyard which will help you plan your route. The walk down the Scots Mile to the giant urn and deer statues is very pleasant as is the path round... More

Three of my grandchildren were getting tired just sitting around at home and I suggested we went out to Haddo House & Country Park. It only took us three quarters of an hour from Aberdeen and we were in completely different surroundings. The children enjoyed the walk, playing on the unusual climbing frames and feeding the ducks. We then visited... More

Stunning estate grounds that you can walk amongst for hours. Lots of wildlife and a decent cafe and shop too.

We are NTS members and visit regularly, although we've never actually made it into the house! The grounds are beautiful and a lovely, gentle walk takes you from the visitor centre which has seen a fantastic upgrade to the toilet block, to the sensory wildlife garden, past the pheasantry (where there are also newly refurbished toilets) past the fabulous new... Take my family here on a regular basis, good play park, pond for feeding ducks, and nice walk around the grounds for dogs and kids.

Have been around the grounds many times to walk the dog. Well kept paths and lovely tended gardens. Clean toilets as well! The children's play area is especially good, the zip wire is extremely good fun. If you take your dog, please remember to poo scoop, when you don't it gives us all a bad name!!!

The grounds are extensive and the walk through them very pleasant. There is also an adventure playground for children but, to be honest, there is nothing special about the environment that you can't find easily elsewhere. And the NT café is expensive!
